What is the best distribution and wholesale site for someone who wants to sell dvds and blurays online?
Q. I already have my own store. ALL the ones I have found sell OLD independent movies. I want NEW mainstream MOVES.

A. Electronics and entertainment industries are very much saturated. They are controlled by big shots with huge investments. It would be really difficult to find a real supplier unless the money you will invest is really significant. Try to call the manufacturer hot line directly and tell them you want a supply. In 90% cases, they will tell you they wont work with retailers. Ask them about the wholesale distributor list. They will be very happy to provide. Do not buy such list from ebay. They are junk lists and your margin will be very less and you loose lot of time. Hope this helps.

What jape to take to a party?
Q. A jolly good pal of mine, Sir B, is having a japery party at the weekend. The invitation says to bring along three party japes. For the first one, and as I have access to wholesale distribution, I am taking a 10kg barrel of instant custard. I intend to empty the contents into his indoor heated pool and then throw a few servants in for a laugh. The servants are jolly spirited people and they won t mind at all the pool is safe as it is only 8ft deep. For the second jape, I have a mousetrap (the old fashion ones that the spring snaps shut when the cheese is taken). I plan to disguise it and place a 50 pence coin on it in order to tempt one of the servants to fall for the bait. This one is a tad more dangerous as it can take off a… [cont.]

Wholesale verses Retail Business?
Q. I recently engineered a paintball product product and I'm ready for distribution. The product is patented and prototypes are currently being finished. I did my homework and there is lots of interest stirring in it. I'm not sure which route to persue. Should I try to sell myself? I kmow by doing this, I'll have a ton of over head costs. Thoughts? Or should I meet w/ a Distributor? What are the Pros and Cons? Any tips or advice in setting up a meeting to sale the product? Thanks...

A. working with a distributor would be the easy way to go, but you'll have lower margins to deal with. why not test the market by working with some paintball field operators to test your products and sell directly to them along with other direct sales outlets such as ebay where expenses are low... you should have some marketing material ready to promote your business. i used to work as a sales consultant so if you need additional advice, email me to my yahoo address.
