Who can I contact to do maintenance on foreclosed properties in southeastern michigan?
Q. Who can I contact to do maintenance on foreclosed properties in southeastern michigan? I own a lawn maintenance and home maintenance (inside and outside) and would want to work on these homes to maintain for the lender, realtor, bank etc. But I am unable to finds out who to contact, does anyone have and leads that I can geta hold of?

A. This can be complex. In many cases, the lender hires a loss mitigation company to handle their foreclosures. This can be subbed out to yet another company. From my friends that work in foreclosures, there can be about 5 companies involved in financial decisions on these properties. Your best bet is market yourself to Realtors who will ultimately list these properties. Most have weekly meetings, ask if you can make a short presentation at a meeting. Or get some inexpensive flyers printed up with pricing or information about services you offer and drop a few at every RE office in your area.

Maintenance schedule for a new car - is it really what is needed?
Q. I just bought a new car in October and received a notice that my first scheduled maintenance is due. Are all these "scheduled maintenance" things really necessary for a new car, or is it just a way for the dealership to get more of my money?

A. Compare what the dealer sent, with what your owners manual recommends as dealers will pad services to make a few extra bucks. Some of the extra recommendations are OK and good to do but some are just fluff and BS. To keep your car in good condition you should do at least the recommended services in your owners manual at the correct mileage and time intervals and use the severe service schedule.

How much would the maintenance of a husky cost?
Q. how much would the general maintenance of a siberian husky cost? grooming etc. would it be alright if i ran say 45 mintues to an hour and a half a day with him or would that be considered to much (i live in florida so its warmer here that why im asking,i know there runners) im just curious cause im an athlete. and im planning on buying one.ive wanted one for the longest time. i need a companion.=)

A. Hot weather, cold weather...huskies are very well adapted to all kinds of temps and will do just fine in Florida. I'm pretty sure you live in an air conditioned house which will be just fine for them. On really hot, humid days I keep mine in most of the day except to go to the restroom and we do our daily walks in the evening when it is much cooler. They are trainable, but can be stubborn so you really need to stick to the training. They are escape artist. Make sure you have a high enough fence and no openings they can slip through. Also, they like to hunt small animals. Mine has gotten a hold of several squirrels and birds through the years. When they are not blowing their coats, they don't really need excessive daily grooming. … [cont.]
